Description
Our Romsey Heritage paving is a characterful natural limestone that brings timeless rustic charm to any landscape. This beautiful stone features a mottled warm brown base with subtle hints of grey, richly textured with an abundance of natural fossils and intricate mottled details that tell the story of its ancient origins.
What sets this stone apart is its unique acid-etched surface finish. This process creates a slight dimpled texture across each piece, adding depth, grip, and an incredible amount of visual character. Unlike the French embossing of our Whiteparish range, the acid etching gives Romsey Heritage a more weathered, tactile quality that feels authentic underfoot. The edges are then gently tumbled to soften and round them, enhancing the stone’s worn, heritage appearance.
Imported directly from Egypt, Romsey Heritage shares the exceptional durability of our other limestones. It is a hard-wearing, fairly water-resistant stone with low porosity, making it easy to clean and a practical choice for the UK climate. While incredibly robust, as a natural limestone, it is sensitive to acidic substances and its surface colour will soften over time unless regularly treated with a quality suitable stone sealant.
Supplied in large, 900×600 slabs at 20mm thick, this paving is designed to create beautiful, inviting outdoor spaces. It can also be used inside the home as an interior flooring tile where a rustic aesthetic is desired. The warm, earthy tones and richly textured surface of Romsey Heritage make it an ideal choice for country properties, cottages, or landscape designs looking to create a relaxed, traditional, and wonderfully organic feel to their space. It’s also beautiful to walk on with bare feet if you like that kind of thing (we do)!
