Our Lymington Mist Limestone paving is a beautiful grey natural limestone paving slab that combines character with contemporary style. Sawn flat this stone paver is distressed on the surface and then tumbled to give a beautiful textured finish that mutes the colour of the stone but in places brings out both dark and light swages of colour tone variation. The process of distressing the surface provides a reasonably grippy texture and also makes this limestone look similar to some of the famous limestones used for paving in Europe like the Jura Grey. Being a limestone it should be noted that the colour of this paving will fade (if untreated) to a lighter shade of grey via the rain and UV exposure. A gorgeous Egyptian limestone, this paving option is full of light fossils, calcite lines and crystals. Its composition and texture lends itself well to swimming pool builds or indoor-outdoor projects seeking a stone that has a premium look and feel. The lightly tumbled edges add character and a heritage feel meaning this stone looks right in both contemporary and heritage style builds. Perfect for country and period properties – this would not look out of place in the grandest of stately homes. However due to its fairly flat overall surface it also works beautifully in modern properties looking for the charm of real stone. A flatter finish than our sandstone range, our limestone splits cleanly – leaving flatter paving stones with less ridges and markings but still with plenty of texture. Imported directly from Egypt this stone is very water resistant and proves a hard wearing, long lasting fairly low maintenance paving option. However as it is a limestone this stone is sensitive to acidic chemicals and will fade in colour slightly as time goes on unless regularly treated with a suitable enhancer.
