Our Godshill Organic Paving is a unique artisanal creation, born from a beautiful union of our classic Portmore and Blissford limestones. It captures their elegant essence but with a freeform, spirited character. Recycled from our rectangular slabs, each piece is broken to create irregular, jagged shapes, which delivers beautifully textured surfaces and irregular shaped edges. This process creates a stunning, mosaic-like effect when laid. Perfect for country, period, and heritage properties – this paving would not look out of place in the grandest of English stately homes or a rustic villa in Provence.
The combined tumbling and brushing processes bestow a beautifully antiqued patina with subtle texture, enhancing the attractive, inherited palette of warm yellow cream from the Blissford and soft olive tones from the Portmore. Being natural Indian limestones, these paving pieces are light and airy, with each unique slab contributing to the overall, rich tapestry.
This warm, earthy colourway and refined texture lend themselves perfectly to inspiring courtyards or seamless indoor-outdoor projects seeking a high-end, European feel. When laid with care this paving can give a wonderfully bohemian yet sophisticated look.
A flatter, smoother finish than riven sandstone, this limestone splits cleanly – leaving flatter paving pieces with fewer ridges, but still with an abundance of character. Imported directly from India, this stone is very water-resistant and proves a hard-wearing, long-lasting paving option. However, as a limestone, it is sensitive to acidic chemicals and will fade in colour slightly over time unless regularly treated with a suitable enhancer.
Available in irregular broken pieces for a close-set, mosaic pattern that brings a touch of timeless heritage charm or boho Mediterranean elegance to any project.
